The roof measurement segment in 2026: done-for-you reports, DIY apps and platform bundles

Two customers, one product

The roof measurement report has two buyers who want different things from the same numbers. Insurance desks (carrier adjusters, independent adjusters, restoration contractors writing claims) want the roof inside an estimating platform, with a PDF for the file, at a cost that fits an expense line. Retail roofing shops want the roof in a proposal fast enough to close at the kitchen table, at a cost that fits a sales budget. Every company in the segment leans toward one buyer, and the lean shows in what it publishes.

Done-for-you, per report

The oldest model is the report you order and receive. EagleView publishes a per-report table by roof size and customer tier ($24.25 to $87 residential as of July 28, 2026), sells subscription access through EagleView One, and describes ESX delivery through EagleView One and integrations. GAF QuickMeasure, the manufacturer's service, publishes $18 to $20 per parcel for single-family with delivery listed as 1 hour or less and a report with a bill of materials. RoofScope states 99% accuracy and 12-hours-or-less guarantees on its home page. Sketch My Roof publishes a flat menu by report type ($19 standard ESX, $25 complex, $29 with PDF, $25 PDF only, walls $45 to $65), same calendar day on orders before 6 PM Eastern, with ESX for Xactimate® and XML for Symbility® and an ordering integration inside Xactimate® and XactAnalysis®.

Within this model the differences are the variables each company prices on: size and tier (EagleView), certification status (GAF), report type (Sketch My Roof), and the presence of written guarantees (RoofScope). None of that is a ranking; it is a description of what each page says.

Platform bundles

Roofr and HOVER sell the measurement inside a broader contractor product. Roofr's pricing page lists $19 reports on its free plan and $13 on paid plans, with the ESX file as a $10 add-on and delivery windows that improve with the plan; the report feeds proposals, e-signature and a CRM. HOVER prices Full Exterior measurements per project by structure complexity ($39 to $139 depending on plan), sells a Pro plan at $999 per year that lowers the per-project figure, and produces a 3D model of the whole exterior, which puts it in siding and window conversations as much as roofing.

The bundle model changes what a buyer compares. The report price is a line inside a plan, and the plan is the product.

Do-it-yourself

RoofSnap and iRoofing sell software; the contractor produces the measurement. RoofSnap publishes pay-as-you-go from $13 per measurement order and subscriptions from $52 to $105 per user per month depending on term and team size. iRoofing publishes $149 per month monthly and $124 per month on a 12-month term for unlimited measurements. The DIY model suits high-volume sales teams that measure many houses a week and want the marginal cost near zero; it asks the buyer to supply the labor and the judgment.

What to watch

Three things move this segment. Estimating-platform integrations, because ordering from inside the platform removes a step for the desk. Manufacturer and distributor programs, because a report priced as a program benefit changes the economics for certified contractors. And published guarantees, because a written clock or accuracy figure is a contract term a buyer can hold a provider to.
